Our dog Anzac I must say is so tollerant! Our 2 year old daughter just adores him and she is forever hugging him, laying with him, touching him and treating him like her own little baby. It is just so adorable to watch as when he is a sleep she goes and gets her blanket and puts it over him to keep him warm.
I think they are going to be really good buddies.....

Pemma Has Gone
Well the 2 weeks are up and Pemma has gone home. She was very well trained by the end of her stay. Pat just received a message from the owner to say 'Wow what have you done with my dog she is so Obedient'. That is so nice to hear.
Pat is going to train the owner now so she has control over Pemma and she will then be able to enjoy her new Trained dog.
We did have some funny moments with Pemma one day I thought I would take her for a walk as Pat said she was going really well with the Obedience. So I took her, Anzac and the kids out, well that was a big mistake. It all started off well but once we got to the park and Anzac was off the lead. Guess who wanted to also play... Yes pemma then became so excitable that I had a hard time trying to control her....
Pemma was so great with the kids which is fab, the kids are certainly not scared of big dogs which is good and bad I suppose as I really need them to understand that not all dogs are good with kids.
Better sign off for now
Cheers Venecia

Our first days with Pemma
Pat has bought home a German Shepherd named Pemma.
He picked her up on Sunday, we are going to have her for 2 weeks so Pat can train her then give her back to her owner and train the owner for 2 weeks.
Pemma is a lovely shepherd she is only about 12 months old and so boisterous compared to Anzac who is now 8years old and sooooo obedient. I never really appreciated how obedient Anzac was until today.....
Pemma and Anzac have had a few 'whose the boss' episodes and Anzac must have scratched her as she has a sore eye. So I rang the vet and made an appoitment to take her down to get her eye checked out.
So I open the back door to my 4wd and say 'Hop Pemma...' She just looked at the car, looked at me and ran off. I called her again 'Pemma hop', nope she would not get in the car. I then got her lead and tried to get her in that way, nope she would not have it. After 5 attempts and me getting in the back she got in. I closed the door and the next thing she jumps into the back seat, into the front seat and out the drivers door...
Oh my, Anzac does not do this he just jumps in with all the enthusiasm in the world knowing he is usually going somewhere fun like the park. So I then try again, nope she would not budge, I tried to pick her up but she weighs about 30kg, nope this was not going to work. I then go inside and get a treat thinking this will work, nope she was not going to budge..... By this time I am hot as, sweating and frustrated. I then ring Pat and thank goodness he was only 10 mins away, good he can take her to the vet.....
Pat gets home opens the back of the van and says 'Pemma hop', nope she was not going to budge , he tried again, nope no luck so he just picks her up and puts her in the back of his van...Oh the muscles.
Boy, do I hope by the end of the 2 weeks she is so much better trained that she is now, which I know she will be as Pat is such a fantastic dog trainer. Just look at Anzac.
Oh by the way her eye is ok Pat just has to put ointment in it twice a day... Good Luck......
I will keep you posted of our experience with Pemma
